Under the guidance of the Assistive Technology Specialist, this role supports the management and implementation of Assistive Technology tools and best practices to help meet the needs of students and staff. The position involves managing school support requests, maintaining technology preparation workflows, and providing technical support for equipment troubleshooting to school teams, providers, and parents. It also includes assisting with the maintenance, use, and distribution of equipment and software, supporting the creation of low-tech communication systems, and managing the inventory of assistive technology devices. Additionally, the role supports the development of materials for professional development workshops on assistive technology and assists with the planning, preparation, and evaluation of learning opportunities offered by the assistive technology office. Clerical tasks such as filing, documentation, and completing forms are also part of the responsibilities.
