About The Position
Sato Elementary is seeking a positive, flexible, and student-centered paraeducator to join their academic support team. This role involves working with small groups of students in literacy, providing classroom support, and supervising students in various school areas such as the playground and cafeteria. The paraeducator may also provide one-on-one student support as needed. This position is combined with a 1.0 crossing guard role, which requires completion of an online training. The Paraeducator 1's purpose is to assist the Teacher in delivering the instructional program by preparing the classroom and materials, and by working with individual and small groups of students. The Paraeducator I also supervises student activities to ensure a safe and orderly school environment. The Crossing Guard's purpose is to supervise and safeguard students crossing at a designated crosswalk, ensuring their safety and demonstrating proper safety procedures.
Requirements
- Completion of an online Crossing Guard training will be required.

Responsibilities
- Support small groups of students in literacy.
