Under the supervision of an administrator and direction of a certificated/licensed staff, assist the teacher in the education of students including instructional assistance, organization, record keeping, and management of student behavior, classroom safety, and communication with students, support staff and parents. This role involves supervising students in class settings, managing classroom routines, assisting with behavior interventions, and supporting the implementation of student behavior plans. The position also includes assisting teachers with classroom setup, technology integration, and providing individual or group instruction. Additionally, the role involves assisting students with various needs, including physical setup, low vision equipment, adaptive magnifying equipment, and basic self-care such as hygiene, feeding, toileting, diapering, dressing, and physical transfers. The Para Sped Low Incidence will also participate in effective teaming, collaboration, conflict resolution, and communication, and will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and modeling appropriate behavior.
