PANTRY COOK – MAX BURGER Join the Max Hospitality Team! Max Burger, located in West Hartford, CT, is seeking a skilled and reliable Pantry Cook with strong culinary skills and open availability to join our fast-paced, energetic kitchen team. The Pantry Cook will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards and delivering consistent, crave-worthy dishes.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a pantry or cold food prep cook in a high-volume restaurant is strongly preferred
  • Professional behavior and strong time management
  • Ability to stay organized and calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to assist on other stations and during special events
  • Open availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous line cook experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working across different kitchen stations in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and plate food items to support the kitchen team and Executive Chef
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations
  • Be cross-trained on pantry and other stations to support high-volume service
  • Prepare mise en place including chopping vegetables, making sauces, and handling cold prep
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines
  • Support other areas of the kitchen as needed during peak service
  • Help maintain a clean, efficient, and team-focused kitchen environment
