Panel Assembler
About The Position
Allegion is seeking Assemblers for its automatic door business. This is a physical, fast-paced job that requires mechanical inclination. The role involves using hand tools, operating machinery to cut aluminum parts, cleaning and lubricating equipment, preparing finished assemblies for shipment, and handling incoming shipments. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with a 10% shift differential. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to lift 75 lbs
- Available to work overtime when needed
- Have reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Using hand tools (drill/driver, pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, etc.)
- Working from an operations sequence sheet, cut sheet, or instructions
- Operating the saw to cut various aluminum parts and maximize yield based on cuts required
- Adjusting for depth of cuts and setting machine in automatic cycle to perform operation
- Cleaning & lubricating machines, maintaining oil or coolant levels
- Preparing finished large door assemblies for shipment
- Opening and storing incoming shipments
- Lifting and/or carrying weight from 50-75 lbs
