About The Position

The objective of this position is to ensure the tickets are made correctly based upon the information on the running orders, packing schedules, and to make sure that all cartons are palletized correctly by size, grade, and variety. This position keeps palletizers and lines running as efficiently as possible, while staying organized and communicating any production issues to Supervisor or Line Support.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; reach overhead; climb or balance; stoop; knee; crouch.
  • Must regularly lift/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be able to reach 6 feet 10 inches to place boxes on top layer of pallets.
  • Must be able to read, speak and write English.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Segregate boxes and being able to lift and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Make sure pallet loads are straight and with correct item numbers and state lots and separated by lines.
  • Create pallet tickets through scanning with the PBR Workbench.
  • Operate and understand Columbia Palletizers.
  • Using, loading and maintaining Wulftec wrappers.
  • Putting on corner boards, straps and caps, and keeping the corner board station stocked and maintained daily.
  • Read and understand the pack schedules.
  • Have or be able to obtain Forklift certification.
  • Able to learn and use computer programs associated with job tasks.
  • Communicate with Stampers and Supervisors of any problems on production.
  • Work closely with Swisslog to keep pallets going through the system to the Shipping ASRS storage.
  • Keep track of specific counts on special pack orders in Oracle, Spotlight and PBR Workbench.
  • Be a team leader and keep the packing lines and palletizers running as efficiently as possible while staying organized and communicating any production issues to Supervisor or Line support.
  • Maintain a clean work area throughout palletizing.
  • Keep crew on task by filling white board charts, communicating with Accumulation operator.
  • Training new hires.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
