Palletizer Skilled 2nd Shift Fort Smith, AR (June)
About The Position
This position is responsible for stacking 40 pound boxes of finished product onto pallets 10 stacks high, moving pallets weighing up to 95 lbs and stacking them, washing down the floors with hose, using shovel to pick up product, using a squeegee to clean floors, using water hose to keep area clean and clear of debris/product, tearing down tote combos/boxes and making totes as needed for production. Other duties include assisting with operating label machines, making minor adjustments/repairs to the label machines; assisting with writing on totes, applying labels and ensuring that the correct data is on the labels; assisting with scanning HU’s from incoming totes to the dumpers with a hand held scanner. This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
Requirements
- Must not have received a written warning within the last 6 months or a written warning with suspension within the last 12 months.
- Transfer waiting period of 6 months since the hire date.
- Must have 6 attendance points or less at the time the posting is taken down.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
