1st Shift Palletizer

About The Position

The Palletizer is responsible for accurately packaging, labeling, and moving finished product. The role ensures pallets are properly prepared and transported to the cooler within required timelines while maintaining quality, safety, and inventory accuracy. General work hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

Ability to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and effectively.
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or processing environment.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard procedures.
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Remove completed pallets from the palletizing line using a forklift.
Label, wrap, and prepare pallets using shrink-wrapping equipment.
Transport wrapped pallets to the cooler within USDA-required timelines.
Coordinate with grader operators to track daily pallet counts.
Hand-stack and label pallets not handled by the palletizing robot.
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot palletizing robots as needed.
Print, verify, and apply labels and pallet tags for shipment accuracy.
Verify inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.
Follow updated processes and procedures during production runs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain a clean and safe work area by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures, and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
