About The Position

The Palletizer Operator is responsible for operating machinery to palletize products, ensuring accurate counts and proper pallet patterns. This role involves supporting the module process, clearing equipment jams, monitoring code dates, and completing efficiency reports. The operator must adhere to all safety and environmental policies, maintain a neat work area according to GMPs, and perform sanitation on equipment. Compliance with safety policies, accident prevention, and loss control is crucial. This position is for the 3rd shift, Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM-7:30 AM, with a pay rate of $22.11 plus a $1.00 shift differential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Makes accurate counts, records information on tally sheets and tickets finished product pallets.
  • Use Matrix system as necessary.
  • Ensure that correct pallet pattern is being run.
  • Load correct pallets into pallet magazines.
  • Support module process, including training and labor scheduling as needed.
  • Clear up jams on palletizers and related equipment.
  • Ensure proper PRN cards are posted in correct locations.
  • Monitor code dates and notify lines of any potential issues.
  • Complete line efficiency reports.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and compliance programs.
  • Work toward achieving an injury free environment.
  • Maintain a neat area in accordance with GMPs and perform sanitation on equipment.
  • Responsible for compliance with the safety policy and accident prevention and compliance programs.
  • Responsible for reviewing work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities and for reporting hazards, injuries/illnesses, and other losses to supervisors.
