About The Position
The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking a Palletizer Operator for a seasonal Day Shift role at their Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This position supports the fresh pack season, typically from August to November. The operator will be responsible for operating a console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack containers of finished products onto pallets.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/industrial facility, preferably in the food industry.
- Able to read and write English.
- Able to operate all palletizer lines, regardless of the can size.
- Requires ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically August to November.
Responsibilities
- Promotes Food Safety Culture as a priority through conversations, communications and actions.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and notifies maintenance mechanic if there are issues or concerns.
- Visually observes cans on the conveyers to ensure there are no dents or defects.
- Pushes buttons on machine to ensure cans are cycled onto the pallets; may use a tool to move cans into position if needed.
- Confirms can codes are correct for product being run; communicates with the Tagging Clerk.
