About The Position

This position is responsible for setting up equipment/work area in preparation for startup, filling and making boxes, and adhering to good safety, food safety, and company policies. The role involves picking up empty boxes from the conveyor line and packing them with product, hand-making boxes as needed, and checking product quality. The associate will also monitor the production area for cleanliness, make decisions on material usage, and perform various other tasks as assigned. End-of-shift cleanup, including sweeping and spraying work areas, is also required.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
This facility does not accept rehires.

Responsibilities

Picking up empty boxes from the conveyor line and quickly packing with product.
Hand making boxes as needed for certain products.
Checking product going into boxes to assure all quality characteristics are met.
Making decisions and acting on material to be used.
Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.
Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead Person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
All other duties as assigned.
Clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
