This role is on the 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM, with a starting pay rate of $19.30 per hour plus a $0.75 per hour shift differential. You will be at the frontline of CHEP in a busy, demanding job, working with automation and new technology. Your safety is our number one priority, and the team will welcome and respect you. In return, we want you to be hands-on and get stuck in.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
Ability to concentrate on tasks.
Ability to understand and communicate information.
Must be able to drag/pull pallets frequently – approximately 75lbs.
Must be able to utilize nail gun frequently- approximately 35lbs.

Nice To Haves

2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast moving setting with industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

Follow repair guidelines to execute the full repair of all components of a pallet including but not limited to removal and replacement of defective boards.
Strive to meet daily production targets.
Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or irregularities in pallet construction.
Ensure adherence to repair guidelines and quality standards throughout the process.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
Uses a pneumatic nail gun & reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
In a repair department places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place.
Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.
Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time.
Operators must be able to repeatedly lift a pallet weighing 60-75 lbs.
Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.
