The Pallet Jack Operator is responsible for moving pallets of raw material or product between the cooler or storage area and the production line. This role requires the ability to recognize and distinguish between different products and raw materials. The operator must also maintain a clean work area, pick up fallen boxes and place them on pallets for removal, and adhere to the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies. A key aspect of the role involves physically inspecting products for both natural occurring and processing defects, such as bruises, blood spots, foreign material, and out-of-spec product. The operator must also be vigilant in identifying and reporting any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management, including product tampering, willful product adulteration, unauthorized employees in restricted areas, or equipment malfunctions that could compromise product wholesomeness.
