Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Pallet Inspector Material Handler in Little Rock, Arkansas Warehouse, Manufacturing and Repair positions pay Weekly Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry, Manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to comprehend basic math
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work within a diverse work environment
  • Highly thorough and dependable
  • Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
  • Ability to Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Be a team player
  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Operate power equipment in a safe manner
  • Lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
  • Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
  • Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)

Responsibilities

  • Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards
  • Manually lift 70lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line; in addition lift the pallets for inspection and separation utilizing the palamatic machine
  • Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met
  • Conduct physical inventories as required
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
  • Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets
  • Performs duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Performs other duties as assigned
