About The Position

This role involves operating a pallet dismantling machine to safely and efficiently dismantle inbound pallets. Responsibilities include pushing and pulling pallets through the machine, changing blades, and unjamming the equipment to minimize downtime. The position also requires quality control, ensuring pallets are free of debris, preparing dismantled parts by removing protruding nails and screws, and sending quality recycled parts for further processing. This is a full-time position with on-the-job training and opportunities for growth within a team-focused environment.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to stand for the full shift
Ability to read a tape measure is required
Works well with others
Self-driven and able to keep up in a fast-paced, physical job
Reliable and shows up to work on time

Responsibilities

Operate the pallet dismantling machine, ensuring safe and efficient dismantling of inbound pallets.
Push pallets through the machine as the pusher and pull dismantled pallets through the machine as the puller.
Change broken or loose blades to ensure continuous operation.
Unjam pallets or boards stuck in the machine, maintaining minimal downtime.
Ensure pallets are free of debris before dismantling.
Dismantle pallets in a manner that minimizes damage and cut marks to the materials.
Properly prepare dismantled parts by removing protruding nails, screws, and other materials that could affect further processing.
Send quality recycled parts to the lumber sorter for further processing.
