About The Position

Guidehouse seeks a Palantir Developer to support the Department of Defense by designing, building, and operating data solutions in the Vantage platform. The role leverages Palantir Foundry to provide authoritative, decision-grade financial and operational insights, with a focus on scalable data solutions in secure federal cloud environments and financial, budgetary, and execution data. The developer will build and maintain Foundry Workshop Modules, data pipelines, transforms, and data products; optimize data models and curated datasets; and support financial reporting, PPBE workflows, auditability, and mission analytics within Advana and downstream Foundry uses. The position also supports secure cloud-native implementations, CI/CD, data quality and reconciliation, legacy-system integration and migration, production troubleshooting, and compliance documentation. The role partners with functional subject-matter experts, financial analysts, platform engineers, and governance teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Three years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software development; regulated or federal experience is preferred.
  • Palantir Foundry experience.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark-based data processing.
  • Experience building or supporting Palantir Foundry solutions, including pipelines, transforms, datasets, and data lineage.
  • Experience with relational and analytical data stores such as Databricks, Oracle, Postgres, or SQL Server, and sound data modeling principles.
  • Experience handling federal financial data, including budget, execution, and accounting data, with an understanding of data controls and reconciliation needs.

  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control, CI/CD concepts, and Agile delivery methodologies in secure environments.
  • Prior experience working directly within Advana/Vantage or adjacent DoD enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Palantir, AWS, Azure, or Databricks certifications.
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, lineage, and access controls in classified or controlled unclassified environments.
  • Understanding of DoD data, security, and compliance frameworks, including RMF and ATO processes.

  • Develop, maintain, and deploy Foundry pipelines, transforms, and data products that enable traceability, lineage, and repeatable analytics workflows.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD and version-controlled data engineering workflows using Git-based repositories and automated deployment patterns aligned with DoD security and ATO requirements.
  • Build and deploy cloud-native solutions in secure AWS and Azure environments, supporting IL4/IL5 architectures as applicable and using containerization where approved.
  • Partner with functional SMEs, financial analysts, platform engineers, and governance teams to ensure pipelines conform to DoD financial data standards, business rules, and controls.
  • Implement data quality, reconciliation, validation, and monitoring capabilities to support financial accuracy, audit readiness, and confidence in reported metrics.
