About The Position

Design, model, and maintain enterprise data structures within the Palantir ecosystem. Focus on effective use of Ontology Manager, and other Ontology based data governance capabilities to enable large‑scale analytics and application interoperability. Develop and maintain data ontologies using Palantir Ontology Manager. Manage and optimize the Data Asset Inventory and metadata structures. Define and govern the Enterprise Metadata Schema to ensure consistency across applications and domains. Design and maintain APIs for Ontology objects and coordinate integration with application teams. Partner with data producers and consumers to ensure accurate modeling and governance across the platform. Develop trusted relationships with clients at all levels of the organization to obtain a more complete perspective and understanding of our clients’ mission, challenges, and goals to deliver tailored solutions. Support business development efforts (e.g., responding to RFPs/RFIs, developing white papers, creating pitch decks and capability briefings, etc.).

Requirements

  • ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • THREE (3) or more years’ experience in hands-on data modeling and/or data architecture.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry Ontology design, data modeling, and structured metadata governance.
  • Experience in building and optimizing pipelines within Palantir.
  • Strong understanding of API structures and integration patterns within Palantir.
  • Experience with enterprise data architecture principles.
  • Ability to support remote, hybrid, and on-site projects in the DC metro area.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to collaborate with application developers and data governance teams.
  • SIX (6) years’ experience in hands-on data modeling and/or data architecture.
  • Deep understanding of relational database concepts
  • Proficiency in querying and joining datasets using SQL.
