About The Position
Hi-Vac Corporation is seeking a Painters Assistant to work in the Paint Department in the manufacturing facility on the weekend shift. Candidates with autobody or similar experience are required. The Painters Assistant assists the Painters, preps parts to be painted, operates a blasting booth to clean parts, and inspects parts for the manufacturing process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent.
- Training in a secondary education Technical School or experience with Autobody.
- Candidates with autobody or similar experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in industrial painting a plus.
- Forklift experience a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Preparing equipment for painting (i.e., cleaning and preparing surface, inspecting quality of parts, filling cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.)
- Cleaning paint booth, conveyor, hoses, spray heads, brushes and nozzles.
- Appropriately disposing of paint waste and hazardous materials.
- Assisting Operator with blasting booth to prepare parts.
- Ability to run a forklift.
