About The Position

This position completes routine and emergency maintenance repairs to all areas of the Hospital. This includes minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, glass replacement, as well as general maintenance, such as: installing bulletin boards, unplugging toilets, wall board repair and painting.

Requirements

  • Completed painter apprenticeship training and be a journey worker OR Three years of varied painting experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing surfaces for painting.
  • Experience applying paint with various tools.
  • Experience replacing broken glass, cutting glass to size, cleaning out broken glass and putty, refitting to sash with putty or molding.
  • Experience installing wall coverings, including murals, wallpaper and protective coverings.

Responsibilities

  • Completes routine and emergency maintenance repairs to all areas of the Hospital.
  • Performs minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and glass replacement.
  • Conducts general maintenance, including installing bulletin boards, unplugging toilets, wall board repair, and painting.
  • Maintains an inventory of materials and reports needs to supervisor or lead person.
