About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Painter for their 2nd shift. The Painter will be responsible for all aspects of painting metal, including setup, operation, inspection, and material handling. This role requires working in a safe, productive, and cooperative manner, adhering to company policies and procedures. The Painter will ensure paint finishes meet quality standards, maintain spray painting equipment, follow safety procedures, mix and manage paint inventory, understand manufacturing specifications, identify and address painting process issues, and track daily material usage. Additional duties will be assigned by department leadership.

Requirements

Previous manufacturing and/or painting experience preferred.
Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills.
Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance.
Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with people.
Extensive standing, frequent bending, sitting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

Inspect paint finishes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Clean and maintain spray painting equipment.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
Mix, match, and manage inventory of paints, solvents, and other materials.
Understand and follow manufacturing specifications and processes.
Identify and address issues related to the painting process.
Track daily usage of paints, thinners, and other solvents.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other tools.
Complete all tasks as assigned by department leadership.
