About The Position

As our Painter, you will provide essential maintenance and preventive maintenance for buildings, equipment, and grounds, with a primary proficiency in painting, wall covering, and floor covering, to ensure a safe and healthful environment. Every day you will execute painting, wall covering, and floor covering tasks. You will also participate in general maintenance duties, including drywall, carpentry, ceiling grid work, basic electrical and plumbing tasks, and safety testing. To be successful in this role, you will possess skilled proficiency in painting, wall covering, and floor covering, coupled with a fundamental understanding of general maintenance tasks. Your ability to contribute to a safe and healthful environment through quality workmanship is essential. Paints, varnishes, stains, enamels, lacquers and redecorates walls, woodwork and fixtures of buildings and facilities using appropriate tools and techniques. Inspects and performs safety tests on electrical lighting, emergency generators, alarm systems, and medical equipment. Repairs and maintains building woodwork such as bins, counters, benches, stairs, windows, doors, and ceiling tile. Repairs articles of furniture such as cabinets, chairs, and office equipment. Prioritizing work as to immediate need. Maintains all required records and information for all regulatory agencies (i.e., JAHCO, NFPA, state and city health departments).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Five (5) years experience in painting/building maintenance or is able to demonstrate the ability to perform these responsibilities.
