About The Position

As a Painter you will be responsible to produce quality components through either powder or wet paint processes to obtain the required finish. Shift: 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:00am-11:00am on Friday

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory, Visual Management, Waste elimination, and Root Cause Problem Solving are preferred.
  • Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, Shop Floor Control and AS400 preferred.
  • Two years prior paint experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Manual paint equipment and/or Automated Paint System, Record program settings in controllers, maintain records for paint inventory and daily operating parameters.
  • Read and interpret travellers and blueprints and other working documents.
  • Record activity (number of parts and elapse times) on the Shop Floor Control System.
  • Produce quality components that meet all finish requirements as determined by Engineering by measuring paint thickness and visually inspecting parts.
  • Always remain safety conscious, wearing all prescribed safety equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job and observing all safety rules stated in the Employee Handbook.
  • Immediately report to your supervisor any problems, discrepancies and/or irregularities related to job assignment.
  • Keep paint equipment and work area clean, neat and orderly on an ongoing and daily basis using 5S standards.
  • Complete any and all projects, assignments and duties as directed and instructed.
