About The Position

Prepares and applies paint, varnishes and other coatings to a variety of products. Manage material movement through the department which aligns with the most immediate needs of internal customers to meet On-Time-Delivery (OTD) performance metrics. Operate overhead and manual floor lifting equipment to maneuver, load, and unload items onto and off of the paint line that exceed 50lbs. Utilize pre-coating agents, mix and match colors and textures according to specifications, and fill or level materials as required. Follow compound specifications for mixing of paints and painting techniques. Apply paint and any additional finishes according to sales order and work instructions. Read and interpret drawings, technical specifications and material data sheets. Maintain accurate and complete records as required. Perform quality inspections as described in quality plans and work instructions. Follow quality procedures according to ISO 9001. Commitment to following all work instructions, policies, and posted signs or instructions regarding safety, including but not limited to, proper use of required PPE at all times. Understand individual "right and duty to intervene". In the event of an evident safety concern, take action in a positive manner to assist a fellow team member or take action to correct an unsafe situation and prevent a potential accident.
