About The Position

The Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking a skilled Painter to join our Maintenance Staff. This role involves performing high-quality painting and surface preparation to maintain the aesthetic standards of our world-class resort located in Longboat Key, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in both interior and exterior painting, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a maintenance team.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a painter, preferably in a resort or hospitality environment
• Able to work holidays, nights, and weekends
• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety protocols
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and work at heights when necessary
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and patching holes or cracks
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
• Remove old paint and wallpaper as needed
• Mix and match paints to achieve desired color and finish
• Maintain painting equipment and ensure all work areas are clean and safe
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to complete projects efficiently
• Adhere to safety procedures and comply with all company regulations
