About The Position
Operate spray painting equipment, responsible for cleaning and preparation of material to be painted, mixing and applying paint to Units/Compressors and any other materials from manufacturing areas as necessary. This is a "safety sensitive" position.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a fit test, and a respirator medical evaluation.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environment.
- Will be required to work with team members, and independently.
Responsibilities
- Select the appropriate color of paint according to the color specified on the unit documentation.
- Operate equipment to clean, sand, remove corrosion, masking, and prepare fabricated steel items for application of primer and paint.
- Ability to paint small items and apply touchups.
- Maintain paint booth ventilation system, and personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to follow instructions given by supervisor.
- Perform others duties as required.
- Will be required to keep shop and work area clean by performing daily housekeeping duties.
