PURPOSE OF POSITION To prepare and paint equipment utilizing electrostatic paint process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Six months to two years of related experience.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves issues in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience a plus.
  • Previous training in identifying and properly disposing of hazardous materials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Place items or products on feed racks, spindles, or reel stands to coat, paint or spray using hands, hoists or truck lifts.
  • Clean parts and weldments using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids.
  • Prepare parts and weldments for paint booth using sanding tools, caulk, masking tape.
  • Operate paint booth spray equipment and oven.
  • Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections.
  • Manual spray parts & weldments with primer and top coat paints.
  • Start and stop the operation of machines using levers or buttons.
  • Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings or paints.
  • Record paint film thickness.
  • Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
