About The Position

Senior Resource Group-SRG is seeking a Painter for their Maravilla Scottsdale community. This role is responsible for all aspects of painting within the community, including preparing surfaces, applying finishes, and maintaining inventory. The Painter will work closely with the Maintenance Director to ensure all painting requirements are met efficiently and to a high standard. Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and different types of paint and finishes.
• Familiarity with basic repair procedures for plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Proficient in using painting tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and honesty.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a vocational training program in painting, carpentry, or a related trade is preferred.
• Certification in painting, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare or large institutional setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with supervisor to determine painting requirements and assisting in making the best decisions for projects.
• Completing the make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Director.
• Covering trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and other protective coverings.
• Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty, and sanding them until smooth.
• Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure paint adhesion.
• Mixing and matching paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications.
• Applying paint, stain, and other finishes using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Maintaining an inventory of supplies such as paint brushes, rollers, and tarps.
• Removing old finishes using scrapers or chemical compounds.
• Estimating time and material costs on painting projects.
• Cleaning machines, equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids.
• Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments.
• Removing and reinstalling fixtures (e.g., doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary.
• Alerting the Maintenance Director of any unusual occurrences or damage.
• Maintaining a professional and courteous manner with residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Assuring safety standards comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines.
• Ensuring compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
• Following established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Undertaking special projects and other responsibilities as determined.
