Responsibilities

  • Perform surface preparation (patching, sanding, priming) and apply paint, stain, epoxy, and specialty coatings to walls, ceilings, doors, railings, structural steel, and equipment
  • Complete both interior and exterior painting projects, including touch-up work between events and larger scheduled repaints during the off-season
  • Work in and around occupied spaces (suites, offices, concourses) with minimal disruption to arena operations and events

  • Maintain accurate records of paint colors, finishes, and products used by area for future touch-ups and matching
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of paints, solvents, and related materials in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local fire/building codes
  • Inspect surfaces for wear, damage, mold, or corrosion and report/address issues proactively
  • Support minor drywall repair, caulking, and cosmetic finish work as needed
  • Assist other facilities/engineering staff with general maintenance tasks during non-painting periods as directed
  • Maintain tools, equipment, ladders, and lifts in safe working condition
