About The Position

The Painter paints a variety of items required by process requirements, applying paint in a protective or cosmetic manner. The role also assists with hanging or removing parts on conveyor lines for the paint booth and helps maintain painting equipment and the booth. The Painter is expected to use required personal protective equipment, maintain good housekeeping, and follow safe work practices. Other duties may be assigned by a Supervisor or Team Leader.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to follow work orders and specific instructions.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint in a proper protective or cosmetic manner.
• Assist in hanging or removing parts on conveyor lines for the paint booth.
• Paint a variety of items as required by process requirements.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Clean the booth and change filters.
• Use personal protective equipment, including a respirator or air make-up devices.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Observe good safety practices while performing the job.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor or Team Leader.
