nVent Management Company is seeking a Painter to prepare custom switchgear products and surfaces for coating treatments and applications at their Oshkosh facility. Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty exceptionally well.
  • Regularly talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Regularly carry and/or shift up to 25 pounds and often carry and/or shift up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience, required.
  • At least one year of industrial paint experience is essential.
  • A comparable mix of education and experience will be taken into account.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a fast paced washer is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Apply various types of paint using gravity feed, premix, 2KS, and Pressure Pot HVLP equipment.
  • Apply measuring equipment, including wet MIL thickness gauges, dry MIL thickness gauges, zahn cups, and handle urethanes and epoxies with precision.
  • Follow verbal directions and written specifications to complete written production records and read blueprints accurately.
  • Mask parts of components such as bearings, bushings, and rub strips that should not be painted.
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance activities on all painting equipment to ensure efficient performance.
