About The Position
This position is responsible for the preparation of metal surfaces prior to priming, applying primer and appropriate paint coatings to large industrial metal structures using various paint application equipment, and inspecting finished metal structures for deficiencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in surface preparation and application of coatings/paint
- Knowledge of and ability to operate paint application equipment such as power washer, grinder, spray booth, spray guns, brush and roller
- Basic understanding of the operation of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to operate overhead cranes
- Must pass pre-employment medical evaluation and be approved to wear a respirator.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year industrial paint experience is preferred
- Electrostatic paint experience helpful
