About The Position

JLL is seeking a skilled Painter for their West Greenwich location to repair, protect, and beautify various interior and exterior surfaces within a client's manufacturing facility. This role requires technical expertise in painting and minor carpentry, with adaptability for different surfaces. It is a full-time position with competitive salary and a full benefits package. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with interior and exterior painting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to hang and finish drywall and plaster.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Carpentry background.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Perform overhead work while standing on ladders.
  • Navigate confined spaces (closets, crawl spaces).
  • Bend, kneel, twist, and reach in difficult access areas.
  • Regularly lift/carry up to 10 pounds; frequently up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Apply various painting and wall covering techniques to complete projects.
  • Remove and replace furniture, equipment, shelving, and fixtures as needed for work areas.
  • Install and repair drywall and plaster, including applying corner beads, taping, patching, and sanding.
  • Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
  • Cover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and other protective coverings.
  • Prepare surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until smooth.
  • Mix and match paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications.
  • Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes/rollers.
  • Inspect damaged surfaces (plaster, drywall, water damage, cracks) throughout the campus.
  • Remove and reinstall fixtures (e.g., doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary.
  • Communicate with clients to determine their painting requirements and help them make the best decisions for their projects.
  • Use tools and equipment safely while maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Review and implement work orders and assignments.
  • Utilize CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) for all work performed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, aligned with client hours.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders, primarily drywall repair and painting.
  • Maintain and repair building equipment as directed by the operations team.
  • Organize, move, and repair office furniture, machinery, and equipment as requested and event-related items for special events; including setup and removal.
