About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining a mechanized paint line, including loading/unloading products and spraying paint using various equipment. The painter is responsible for selecting and mixing the correct coatings, applying them to product surfaces to specific tolerances, and cleaning equipment. Additionally, the role includes proper hazardous waste management and emergency response after training.

Requirements

Ability to use and maintain PPE.
Ability to operate and stand on a moving hydraulic personnel lift while spraying paint.
Knowledge of selecting correct coatings.
Skill in mixing paint to correct viscosity.
Ability to clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
Willingness to undergo hazardous waste training for container management and emergency response.

Nice To Haves

Experience with mechanized paint lines.
Experience with spray guns and regulating spray parameters.
Understanding of applying coatings to specific tolerances.

Responsibilities

Use and maintain PPE (personal protection equipment).
Alternates with co-workers to load/unload the mechanized paint line.
Operates and stands on a moving hydraulic personnel lift while spraying paint.
Selects correct coating to be applied to product.
Mix paint to correct viscosity.
Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat to specific tolerance.
Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
Responsible for proper hazardous waste container management and emergency response as required upon completion of required hazardous waste training.
