About The Position

Austin Industrial is seeking a Painter Blaster to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting and apply paint to equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using spray guns, brushes, and rollers. This role involves working at heights and may require erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders. The Painter Blaster will read work orders, receive instructions, and select and mix coating liquids to produce desired colors. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• No minimum education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read work order and receive instructions verbally.
• Prepare surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, and filling holes.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• May fill cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Select and mix coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications using paddle or mechanical mixer.
• May erect scaffolding or set up ladder to perform task above ground level.
• Apply paint to surface using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
• Other duties as assigned.
