About The Position

This role is responsible for performing restoration tasks related to painting and plastering. The Painter/Plasterer will review work orders, prepare surfaces, apply finishes, and ensure high-quality results while maintaining a safe work environment. The position requires availability for emergency work and may involve flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in painter and/or plastering
• Working knowledge of materials, methods, and hand tools in painting and plastering
• Must be available for emergency work

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
• Bi-Lingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review work orders or supervisor instructions to determine job requirements
• Prepare, protect, and smooth surfaces using masking tape, plastic, drop cloths, scrapers, and sandpaper
• Remove old finishes by sanding, scraping
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints using caulk, Structolite / cement, plaster, blocks or wire mesh using the proper tools while utilizing the proper tools and techniques
• Apply primers, Shellacs or bonding agents to prepare surfaces for plastering / painting
• Apply primers, paints and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
• Sand, prime and paint walls as required by work orders
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and ensure high-quality results
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
