About The Position
As a Painter - Paper Hanger, you will paint and redecorate walls, woodwork, furniture, metal surfaces, fixtures, and other items. This role involves preparing surfaces by scraping, brushing, or burning off old paint and varnishes, and filling holes and cracks with putty or filler. You will also mix colors, oils, and other paint ingredients to achieve the proper color and consistency, or thin ready-mixed paints. Application of paints and finishes will be done using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or rags.
Requirements
- High school graduate and/or vocational training.
- Proficiency in blending paints and use of scaffolding.
- Minimum of five (5) year experience and currently working in the trade.
