Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Willing to join the applicable local union
• Ability to perform basic math
• Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks
• Able to lift 40 pounds at a time
• Comfortable working from heights
• Able to pass a background check if required by jobsite
• Reliable transportation
• Dependable individual who will arrive to scheduled shift on time and ready to work
• Eager self-starter who is willing to learn new skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with painting/coatings application
• Marine Plural Component Program (C14) paint certification
• Local to the San Diego area

Responsibilities

• Set up a conventional paint pot
• Use air assisted and airless paint systems
• Mix kits of paint
• Paint complex structures
• Work on solo projects and as a member of a team
• Understand and use WFT gauges
• Apply common industrial coatings
• Consistently hit mils while painting
