About The Position

The Painter I (Paint Hanger) safely completes supervised powder-coating work according to established procedures, processes, and policies. The role involves efficiently loading and unloading raw parts from the paint line and preparing parts or assemblies for use. The position works in a consistently high-heat environment and requires attention to safe work practices, quality, accurate counts, and housekeeping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow basic standard procedures.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate and work well with others.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Positive attitude; assertive, dependable, and energetic.
• Strong focus on quality of work.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with powder paint systems.

Responsibilities

• Load, transfer, and unload parts on and from the paint line.
• Hang or rack each part for paint application.
• Inspect parts for quality before and after the finishing process.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with policies, including wearing required personal protective equipment and maintaining safe work habits and appropriate housekeeping.
• Exchange and break down racks and prepare them for burn-off.
• Maintain proper counts and report all scrap.
• Perform stock-handling duties as required.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
