Job Summary: The Painter I sprays the surfaces of machines, manufactured products or working area with protective or decorative material. Additional Information: Schedule: Regular schedule is Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, currently working 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM Overtime based on business need Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Sponsorship is not available Starting pay is $21.90 an hour – can be adjusted based on experience

Requirements

  • Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to pass a fit test to ensure painting mask will fit properly and eliminate any potential safety hazards
  • Due to the requirement to wear a painting mask, employees must have limited facial hair
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of product for painting
  • Preparation of paint supplies for the applicable product
  • Completes daily production logs to meet environmental and safety standards
  • Performs daily preventative maintenance of work area
  • Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards
  • Paint parts per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment and job routers
  • Works with Material Coordinator on inventory levels to ensure production levels are maintained
  • Performs other duties as assigned
