About The Position
Top Metal Solutions is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our team as a Painter Helper. This position is ideal for candidates looking to start a career in industrial painting and grow within a manufacturing and production environment. As a Painter Helper, you will support wet paint and powder coat operations by assisting with material preparation, masking, part handling, cleaning, and general production support. This role offers hands-on experience and opportunities for long-term growth within the paint department. We are looking for team members with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced production environment. The Painter Helper is responsible for supporting industrial painting operations by preparing parts, maintaining clean work areas, and assisting painters throughout the production process. This position plays an important role in maintaining workflow efficiency, paint quality, and production readiness. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn industrial wet paint and powder coating processes.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of industrial painting environments preferred
- Ability to learn wet paint and powder coating processes
- Strong attention to detail and surface preparation
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Good organizational and housekeeping skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good attendance and reliability
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shift
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Prepare metal parts and components for painting
- Perform masking and tape application as required
- Clean and prep surfaces before paint application
- Hang, move, and organize parts for production
- Clean paint guns and painting equipment
- Assist painters during wet paint and powder coat operations
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Support production schedules and workflow needs
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Assist with material handling and shop support tasks as needed
