About The Position

This role involves assisting with industrial coatings tasks in operational industrial settings. Responsibilities include surface preparation, mixing, and application of coatings. The job requires proficiency in operating power and hand tools, handling and mixing industrial coatings (with appropriate respiratory protection), and operating, cleaning, and maintaining painting equipment. Safety is paramount, involving the proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials, as well as the use of fall protection and scaffolding for work at heights. The role also includes maintaining the cleanliness of work areas and equipment. Most learning occurs through on-the-job training.

Requirements

Proficient in operating power and hand tools for surface preparation.
Capable of handling and mixing industrial coatings, utilizing a half face respirator for protection.
Capable of operating, cleaning, and maintaining painting equipment, including sprayers, pumps, and pressure washers.
Capable of safely handling, storing, and labeling all materials.
Must be capable of working at heights.
Must be able to discriminate between colors, matching or detecting any difference between colors.
Must possess a high level of skills in mixing and blending paints, and in applying those using spray equipment, rollers or brushes.
Must know the different painting methods suitable for each particular painting job.
Must be able to understand and execute written and oral instructions.
Must be punctual and maintain a dependable level of attendance in accordance to project work rules.
Must adhere to all safety procedures.

Understands different painting methods suitable for each particular painting job.

Is punctual and maintains a dependable level of attendance.
