About The Position
The Painter Helper position is responsible for assisting in the painting process to meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role involves preparing valves for painting, performing the painting itself, and ensuring the final product is clean and ready for the next stage. The helper may also operate machinery like a forklift or blast cabinet and perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience painting or sandblasting.
Responsibilities
- Strive to meet production schedules without sacrifice to quality or health and safety standards.
- Clean and wipe down valves.
- Tape all ID tags and levers.
- Put socket weld or buttweld covers on valves.
- Prime valves and let them dry.
- Paint valves and let them dry.
- Remove all tape and blow off valves, ensuring they are free of dust and grit.
- Clean levers and place valves on pallets.
- Perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor.
- Operate Forklift when needed.
- Operate a blast cabinet for blasting small parts.
