About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Painter - 2nd shift to join our team in Owatonna, Minnesota. In this role, you are responsible for operating the electrostatic painting equipment to produce painted parts while maintaining work schedules, safety, and quality. The hours are Monday through Thursday, from 3:30pm to 2am. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing is recommended, but not required.
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience in electrostatic powder is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Operating the electrostatic painting equipment to produce painted parts while maintaining work schedules, safety, and quality.
• Hanging individual parts on various sized fixtures.
• Removing parts from fixtures after coating and placing them into required containers.
• Rotating between various positions and equipment as instructed, performing material movement.
• Maintaining quality and ISO standards by checking/testing products.
• Maintaining accuracy and resolving discrepancies in shop orders by verifying quantity and part identification.
• Working safely and following procedures/methods required to prevent injuries.
