Requirements
- Prior experience as a body shop painter or body shop apprentice/helper.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the vehicle surface for paint by removing rust and other debris.
- Able to fill cavities and dents in vehicles to create an even surface.
- Responsible to mask or tape off details and components to avoid contamination and overspray.
- Mix paints for proper color matching and similar application technique by use of paint sprayers and brushes.
- Skilled at determining the necessary application of paint for a thorough coat; while checking for runs or sags in the paint to ensure quality.
- Responsible to communicate all repair order issues and estimated repair times via ASR to keep all pertinent parties up to date on vehicle repairs.
