About The Position

This role involves preparing wood and metal surfaces for painting and applying paint to various items including equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using spray guns, brushes, and rollers. The job requires the ability to work at heights without fear and may involve tasks such as filling cavities and smoothing surfaces. The Painter Blaster will also be responsible for selecting and mixing coating liquids to achieve the desired color according to specifications.

Requirements

3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
Ability to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting.
Ability to paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush, and rollers.
Ability to work at heights with no fear.
Ability to select and mix coating liquids to produce desired colors according to specifications.
Ability to erect scaffolding or set up ladders.

Responsibilities

Prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting.
Paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush, and rollers.
Read work orders and receive instructions verbally.
Prepare surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease, old paint, smoothing cracks, and filling holes.
Work at heights without fear.
Fill cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface.
Select and mix coating liquids to produce desired colors according to specifications.
Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
Apply paint to surfaces using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
Perform other duties as assigned.
