About The Position

This position works with and assists Painter while learning and developing the necessary skills to function independently. The pay rate is $18.7560 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license
• Ability to walk and stand and/or sit for extended periods of time during shift
• Must be able to lift, carry and/or push up to 25 pounds
• Ability to grasp, hold, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to work in extreme cold and/or heat, dusty, noisy, wet and/or humid environment
• NJ CER LICENSE REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

• This position receives on the job training while working with the Painter, and also attends an approved trade school approved by the union.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work area by protecting surfaces with drop cloths and masking area to prevent paint damage
• Assist in mixing paint, matching colors, and applying paints, stains or sealants using brushers and rollers
• Assists with maintaining work areas clean and organized
• Completes special assignments for management as requested
