We are looking for a skilled, reliable trades professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, works independently with minimal direction, and understands how to maintain professionalism in occupied senior living environments. The right person notices the details, keeps work areas clean and respectful, and takes ownership of doing the job right the first time. This is a role for someone who values consistency, accountability, and meaningful work where their craft truly matters.

Requirements

  • Proven professional painting experience with a track record of consistent, high-quality results.
  • Strong skills in surface preparation, including patching, sanding, and finishing work.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Comfort working in a memory care environment, with patience, respect, and professionalism around seniors.
  • Self-motivated, dependable work style with the ability to complete tasks independently and take ownership of results.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in a variety of positions and conditions.
  • Flexible availability for occasional evenings and weekends to support resident move-ins and community needs.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn new systems as needed.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with genuine care for others.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior living or healthcare experience is a plus, but strong painting skills and the right mindset are most important!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces to a high standard, including patching, sanding, and surface repair.
  • Apply professional-quality paint, primer, and finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces.
  • Complete room turnovers efficiently to ensure spaces are clean, fresh, and ready for new residents.
  • Maintain the appearance of common areas, hallways, and shared spaces through ongoing touch-ups and repairs.
  • Protect resident belongings and maintain a clean, safe, and respectful work environment at all times.
  • Travel between Azura communities using a company-provided vehicle.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating with the facilities team as needed.
