About The Position

The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing work surfaces, masking, priming, mixing and matching paint to achieve OEM color standards, applying basecoat, clearcoat, and blending finishes. This role also involves final finish work such as buffing, polishing, and quality inspection, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and production readiness of the booth and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment with noise, odors, and paint fumes
  • Respirator fit required
  • Technical school OR 3+ years of automotive paint experience
  • Strong color matching and blending skills
  • Experience with waterborne and solvent-based systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • I-CAR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
