About The Position

The Paint Technician is responsible for finishing and painting plastic parts using various types of paints and primers to meet customer specifications. This role involves spraying different types of primer and paints, matching textures and colors, and applying rub-on graphics. The technician will also be responsible for reworking and repairing paint jobs to improve quality, understanding and adhering to ISO and QMS processes, and maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience with painting.
Knowledgeable in mixing and blending pigments or dyes to color match to customer specifications.
Ability to read and understand basic work instructions.
Prior experience weighing compounds or paints.
Prior production experience.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Superb organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with a team.
Comfortable with multitasking.
Wood working experience.
Good housekeeping skills.
Entry-level computer skills (email, data entry, Microsoft Office Suite).
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and protective footwear.

Responsibilities

Spray various types of primer and paints, and Mold Tech textures with various types of paint.
Match textures and/or colors to Pantone or customer supplied samples.
Add rub-on graphics to painted parts in precise locations when necessary.
Reworking/repairing to improve the quality of the paint job.
Understand all applicable ISO and QMS related processes (and any changes to them), ensures their effectiveness and assists in achieving their intended results.
Maintain the QMS required contributions to product or service conformity, product safety, and ethical behavior.
Complies to work area PPE requirements.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Promote a positive work environment.
