About The Position

Meyer Truck Equipment is seeking a dependable and hardworking Junior Paint Technician to join their team. While prior painting experience is not required, the company is willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, pride in their work, and a willingness to learn. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a skilled Paint Technician role with increasing responsibilities.

Requirements

• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform a physical, hands-on job
• Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Previous auto body, painting, fabrication, or related experience is helpful, but not required
• Previous sanding, masking, or painting experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Sand and prepare truck bodies, equipment, and parts for painting
• Clean and prep surfaces to ensure a quality paint finish
• Tape and mask bodies, parts, and areas that should not receive paint
• Assist the painter with daily shop and paint preparation tasks
• Learn proper techniques for surface preparation, masking, and paint application
• Learn to paint small parts, touch-ups, and minor repairs
• Properly care for and clean tools and painting equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all shop safety procedures and instructions
• Perform other general shop duties as needed
